Introduction!
Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Arianna, I am currently a junior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Integrated Arts. I moved to Alaska from Massachusetts in June of 2025 and find it amazing just how beautiful and expansive the sky is here. Some of my favorite things to do in my free time are baking/cooking, reading, writing poetry, beading, and most importantly- making music. I am someone who enjoys the little moments and I try to amplify the magic I see around me, so creating and learning (especially art) is something I adore.

Music has been a part of my life for a long time. I remember listening to a lot of classic rock, folk, indie, and pop growing up. My music tastes have broadened but I lean into the nostalgia of those childhood songs whenever I hear them. I grew up playing piano and writing lyrics, I used to attend open mic nights as a teenager and perform. Eventually I taught myself some guitar and ukulele and mostly play guitar now. I still perform sometimes, with the most recent being at Pride Fest in Ester Park where I was really excited to perform Amy Winehouse's "Valerie". I've written a couple of songs this winter and would love to work towards an EP. Music has a way of transporting my mind and connecting with my emotions, I love standing still in some of that time.
Below is a link to a song that I adore: Sleep Deprivation by Chance Pena.
Thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!

Sleep Deprivation and Valerie are such great songs, some of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of Chance Pena before. Thanks for the introduction. Great sunrise photo.
ReplyDeleteI love belting Valerie in the car, but I am not brave or talented enough to perform anything like you are. That's so cool! I almost went to Ester Park that day, but something came up. It would've been cool to see you perform!
ReplyDeleteHello Arianna, I enjoyed reading your blog. Welcome to Alaska! I also lean towards the nostalgia of childhood songs it's always bittersweet when a song reminds you of a specific memory. That's amazing that your self taught! It definitely takes a lot of skill to pursue. I wish you the best in your career!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see someone else likes Chance Pena, he has a great voice and hopefully he becomes more popular over time. Don't give up on creating music, I hope you do good!
ReplyDeleteHey, Arianna. My older sister is also majoring in psychology and is graduating this semester. I am not sure what integrated arts are, but they sound cool and practical. Like you, I really enjoy cooking; I never used to cook until a year ago, but now I and the person I'm dating do it every week.
ReplyDeleteI unfortunately haven't heard much of Amy Winehouse's pieces, but I am thinking I should try her out. She has a great last name.
